Gratitude and happiness go hand in hand. Every day, count the blessings you have in your life as well as the problems you do not have, and be grateful and happy. Pam and Ellen started working on the new organic farm last spring. It’s a great job for college students. They work part-time in the greenhouse in spring, and full-time in the fields in summer. “This job is so boring,” complained Ellen for the 100th time this season. “Dig a hole. Plant a seed. Add water. It’s Time

It has no shape and has no color. It does not speak and makes no sound. It does not smell, taste, or feel like anything, yet it is a precious gift that you can receive or offer someone. What is it? Becky has been bravely battling cancer for the past ten months. Three weeks ago, she was admitted to the hospital because of her chemotherapy’s side effects. To make matters worse, she contracted C. difficile, a bacteria which causes an infection whose symptoms are, among others, weakness, diarrhea, cramps, and loss of appetite. […] Read More

take back time

Broken dreams can be painful, and living how you have to live can be frustrating and make you feel unhappy. It’s time for you to start living how you want to live, and feel fulfilled and happy. I was in Portland Oregon, visiting my friend Mike. Despite the cold and cloudy day, we decided to drive to the beach. The fog had covered the coast, but we could still see some cliffs peeking through. The view was breathtaking. When we got to the beach, there was no one in sight. It didn’t look like it was going to rain, so […] Read More
